Orange is defeated by the new partner of Apple!!
Vodafone sold 100,000 Apple iPhones in the first week, and it broke the record of Orange by achieving that figure. According to mobile network, half of the mobile phones had been ordered way before the smartphone's launch on 15th of January.
The official Twitter feed by Vodafone on last weel said: "Just over a week since launch and @VodafoneUK has already sold its 100,000th iPhone! #100k."
In UK, Vodafone is the third network to stock Apple's smartphone, and this partnership follows the end of O2's exclusive deal with Apple. Except this network supplier, Orange and Tesco Mobile are also offering the handsets.
As per the reports, Orange achieved the same amount of Apple smartphones in the month of December last year, which Vodafone managed just in a week or so.
The Vodafone CEO, Guy Laurence said: "The demand from both consumer and business customers has been phenomenal. They want an outstanding phone on an outstanding network and we're delivering that."
Depending on the plans, the prices of the Apple iPhone could be changed. The price range starts from £30 per month, and it can go up to £75 per month. Looking at the figures achieved by this brand, we can certainly say that this price strategy has worked well.
