Taiwan based mobile phone manufacturer HTC has introduced the HTC Hero which is based on the open source Operating system, Android and powered by the Qualcomm MSM 7200A 528 MHz processor. With a screen size of 3.2 “ and a resolution of 320X480 pixels, it has a TFT capacitative touchscreen that can display 65K colours. It has a 288MB RAM and 512MB ROM. A microSD card can be used for expanding the memory. The phone has a 5MP camera with auto focus which can also be used for video recording. One of the many advantages of this phone is the compatibility with 2G(GSM GSM 850/900/1800/1900) and 3G(HSDPA 850/900/1900/2100) networks.
