Blackberry 9500 Thunder is a 3G mobile phone and it looks to be the first touchscreen handset in RIM 9000 series. This model runs a new Blackberry OS that is fully touch-centric and sports an extra large touchscreen TFT display of 360 x 480 pixels resolution. It is a hybrid device, working in GSM and EV-DO networks supporting EDGE/HSDPA and built-in GPS. Very much alike BlackBerry Bold, the RIM BlackBerry Thunder has a 624 MHz processor, which is powerful enough to handle multitasking office features. The side out slide design comes with only 4 shortcut key buttons below display screen and text input relies on the keyboard like iPhone. This gadget supports both the CDMA and GSM network along with 4G support. It is equipped with the Blackberry Internet service and preloaded Data Viz that allows you to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files directly. The 3.2 megapixel camera with variable zoom, auto focus and powerful technology provides a nice experience while going for video recording. There is 1GB internal memory storage capacity and microSD card slot facility that can be expanded up to 16GB. It has removable and rechargeable 1400 mAhr battery that supports approximately six hours of talk time or 15 days long standby.
